Our Sensor Range
RH20 Combined Humidity and Temperature Sensor
The RH20 sensor is fitted with a thin film capacitive integrated circuit sensor and remians in calibration for a good period of time. Fitted with a 60 micron hydrophobic filter, accuracy is +-2% RH reading from 0-100%RH temperature correction included. The Temperature sensor fitted has an operating range of 0degC to + 40degC.
Crop Spears
The TRYAC stainless steel spears are produced in 2 sizes 1 metre length or 2 metre. Each spear can be fitted with cable upto 40 metres in length the sensor used on this spear is a type curve matched thermistor. Operating range -10degC to +20degC.
Capacitve Indication Sensors
Tryac use a wide range of capacitive sensors for detecting grain levels in equipment or to monitor for grain blockages in conveying equipment. We also install inductive sensors for monitoring elevators and equipment to detect they are running.
Wireless Temperature Probes
Wireless probe solution. alleviating the need for cables to lie over the crop. Long battery life and adjustable temperature sampling periods. Stop vermin damage.

Our sensors are designed to work seamlessly with Tryac control panels, giving you accurate data straight out of the box. They are also compatible with many third-party monitoring and control systems, so you can upgrade your sensing without replacing your existing setup.

Why Sensors Matter for Grain Storage
Grain stored at the wrong temperature or moisture content is at serious risk of spoilage. Hot spots caused by insect activity, uneven airflow or residual field heat can develop undetected deep within a grain bulk, leading to mould growth, mycotoxin contamination and significant financial loss. Temperature sensor cables placed at multiple depths within the store allow you to detect these problems early, before visible damage occurs.
Moisture measurement is equally critical. Grain received at harvest is rarely at a uniform moisture content, and drying must be carefully managed to bring the whole bulk to the correct level for safe long-term storage. Tryac in-line moisture sensors give you real-time readings during the drying process, ensuring you reach the target moisture without over-drying and wasting fuel.
Integration with Tryac Control Panels
Tryac sensors are designed as part of a complete monitoring and control ecosystem. Temperature cables feed data directly into your Tryac control panel, which can then trigger alarms, start cooling fans or adjust drying settings automatically. Ambient sensors provide the external weather data needed to calculate equilibrium moisture content, allowing the controller to decide when conditions are right for cooling or ventilation.
This closed-loop approach — where sensors inform the controller and the controller acts on the data — is what sets Tryac systems apart. Rather than relying on manual checks and guesswork, your grain store operates intelligently around the clock.
